Key Research Area: biomimetic; phenolic acids; gallotannins; polyesterification; hyperbranched polyesters.
Education and experience: He received the physical chemistry master’s degree in 2019 from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in Wuhan (China). And then he obtained the organic chemistry Ph.D. degree in 11-2022 from Claude Bernard University Lyon 1 (CBUL). Subsequently, he is supported by PPM to start pos-doctoral research in University of Bordeaux from 12-2022 until now.
Project: Aromatic hyperbranched polyesters (HBPEs) are commodity polymers that are used in various polymeric materials applications. However, these polymers are essentially petroleum-based products and, to the best of our knowledge, there is no report on bio-sourced aromatic HBPEs. This project aims at designing novel aromatic polyesters using bio-sourced phenolic acids for polyesterification from a monosaccharide core molecule.
